FS9 Scenery problem

Something has removed some vital parts of my add on sceneries...bgls's etc but only certain types mainly the photoreal types and I suspect other things are not right either....VFR Photographic was the first thing I noticed not working...in looking in the folder I see that the vast amount of .bgl's that were in there are down to just a handful now :dunno: ....I think to be on the safe side that I will have to do a re-instal of FS9 (if I have the inclination...)

It is just a nuisance not knowing what may have caused it.....I have AV on the system all the time and the only new thing recently installed was Ada-ware AV with which I replaced the old Ada-ware SE with....and on a scan yesterday it found a Malware 32 which it removed for me which was good but other than that I cannot work out what may be the culprit.....perhaps it is a tad too b****y efficient.... :@

Tried a system restore back to May 1st but no joy.....

I normally run FSX 80% of the time anyway but a tad mystified that's all.. :dunno:

I installed a new system cleaner...ran it, then to my horror discovered what you've just suffered. When i scrolled through the file types listed in the cleaner to be dealt with, i spotted .bgl :brick:

Lucky for me I have my whole system backed up on an image and stored, so after about half hour i was up and running as though nothing had ever happened. ("Acronis True Image" I highly recommend it to anybody)

I'm sure that was the problem I experienced Gary.....so far I have not re-installed FS9 and most unlikely to do so but it is a good plan to keep an image back up as you mention... ;-)
