IWM has 10,000 photos needing correctcaptions and needs help

The IWM has 10,000 photos of the RAF in the 'Cold war' period with no or sometimes incorrect captions and needs help to identify equipment, stations and people.

If anyone can help you will need to go to the following website as a first step:

http://www.rafnews.co.uk/readstory.asp?storyID=195

You might have to scroll through lots of photos, b/w and coloured before you recognise somebody or something. I had a bit of luck and only went through 100 photos before being able to correct the caption for two photos.

Hi Garry,

I've fixed the link for Hobby, there were two full stops before co.uk so I removed one.

Thanks for the correction to the address.

I hope that everyone is enjoying looking through those photos.

Fancy seeing Belgian FN rifles, we had Lee Enfield 0.303 rifles plus 18" bayonets!! 1955-58.
