I'm glad I don't fly on his 777 - he apparently can't tell left from right when he refers to "the pilot pios ( since when has PIO been a verb?) the rudder to the left"

He's a 'qualified 777 pilot' - but pesumably not an employed 777 pilot hence he's spending his time talking drivel on home videos. I'm sure Airbus hang on his every word however so they'll be pleased to know they can use the airframe again

PIO - Pilot Induced Oscillation. It is a correct use of the acronym. The pilot is pumping the rudder left and right during landing instead of making smooth, controlled movements. Since you guys have such a fun time making fun of people and slandering their character, why don't you try watching the whole thing and doing a little research before you make statements like that? It's far too easy to sit behind a computer screen and make fun of someone and you guys should know better.
BTW, I am serious using the word slander in this post. Your comments are nothing short of uncalled for and more importantly, should be edited. Whether you think his delivery of the "story" was refined or not, he, nor any other pilot, deserves to have their character defamed like you guys are doing.
Oh - and FYI, AvWeb is not a "home video".....

Seemed to me to be no more than a massive outpouring of sour grapes caused by an underlying bitterness that Boeing no longer has the almost complete command of the aviation industry it once enjoyed ;-) They'll get over it.. they always do

A hard looking landing indeed (must've been the co-pilot!

).
All very well for a 777 pilot to publically comment on it in the media, I don't suppose he's ever flown an A380, or was aware of the qualifications of the Airbus crew flying the jet; and being a "house" A380 at an airshow, they
may have been considerably more experienced/qualified* (certainly in very heavy aircraft flying) than him!
*if you can't read between the lines there's a fair chance they may well have been graduates of Istres or Boscombe Down or the like.
Mountain. Of. Out. Molehill.
Re-arrange.
