Actually Ian, Im quite familar with this particular 47 -- I spent time as a teenager waxing it -- the BEA red oxidised very quickly and Autair had a contract to fly it in the movie "Arabesque" -- The son of Luton Flying Clubs owner and myself waxed it for the princally sum of five quid (2.10.00 in those days was alot of money for a thirteen year old)
Peter did the paints on a request for me -- But G-APTH has a niche in British post war history so it will be offered to all

I wasn't disputing your knowledge of this machine - just clarifying the Agusta part of the manufacturer after Garry's post. I do recall you mentioning it before.
Doing a quick search for photos to remind me of it, I found this B/W one - not quite the same scheme as the screenshot provided by John.

Well I for one am delighted that you're doing it as I lost mine along, with my BEA Dragonfly, repaint ages ago.
Hey fancy doing one of these as well?
Well done that man!
Kind regards
John

That man would be Peter Watkins -- painter prolific of Austers -- He visits here frequently so if you aim your request to him -- You will find them at the Pond soon thereafter -- where did the S51 come from BTW?
