first flight in a V35B Beechcraft Bonanza and the first time I had an .. get this ....
eighty year old pilot!!!

, one of the best landings too.
Believe this or not . that plane was flown to France.

My dad is 4 years older and probably couldn't get into the aircraft.. he certainly couldn't fly it

in fact it was the first model I bought for FS9.

Some 30+ years ago I had a half share in a V35 Bonanza, G-APVW , and although we went all over Europe in it , it was a bit of a pig to fly in turbulence, particularly in IMC , and in the end we put a 3 axis autopilot in. The problem is that the V tail compromises both pitch and yaw control, and there was always a tendency both to porpoise and fishtail . Nonetheless, a lovely and rather gentlemanly aeroplane

well we felt some of that today,Sir ..slightly yesterday really, hope these bring back some good memories
flew with Vinnie and Dave, Dave is a CFII. Vinnie is up for his IFR again,. we flew to PHK ((Pahokee, FL ))
went to lunch and flew back, here are a few shots, I'm working on a flight video that will give ya'll a good look at the area here.

Yes, happy memories ( although we didn't have tip tanks) . Can't quite see in the pics, but did the aeroplane you went in have the "handover" control column, whereby you pulled a lever and sent the wheel over to the rhs? Thanks for some great pics

yes It has the swing yoke control Chris,
so that means he'll be using another plane for his VFR test. ;-)
