Hi,

I ve just signed up on this forum, I love the old British stuff, and I volunteer at the solway avaition museum, where I look after a range of aircraft ranging from a Sea Prince, right up to a Trident and a Vulcan. I also fly loads of these aircraft on FS, and I have the PSS Vulc and most of the DM 1-11's .

Here is a link to my flickr, where I have taken some photos of the stuff that goes in and out of Carlisle sometimes :-)

Thanks

Hello Ewan

Welcome to our humble abode

I met some of your guys in 1989 when I was up in Carlisle. The Gannet G-AMYP was there at the time :)

Ill get used to it lol . Im doing a PPL in EGBE (when im at uni.) Its bonkers down there, living with Altantic Flight Training in the same airport, last month one of their "pilots" declared a mayday on the ground, when his aircraft was switched off and on the apron!!! The same guy then got barred from finishing his solo x country nav, as his airmanship was so poor! (They actually did the whole blocking his DA-40 in with ground vehicles thing! )

Hi Ewan and welcome, hope you enjoy your stay here with us as we are all a bit mad in one way or another :worried:

Only been to Coventry once and that was for a delightful flight in the Dove, unfortunately did not have the time to visit the museum afterwards as was with such a grand bunch of CBFS members the day flew by.

Regards
Nigel.
