Significant Day Today

Today, September 15th, is the official 'Battle of Britain Day.'

I doubt if any announcements to that effect were made in any UK schools today. So far I have not heard any reference to this event on any TV News bulletin.

Perhaps forum members might toast 'The Few' this evening - the victory ranks alongside Trafalgar in the defence of this island.

Never mind, next year is the 70th anniversary, and will be one of RIAT's main themes.

BBC World News mentioned it - in fact they did a good piece on the whole thing. Hopefully, the Colonists paid attention.
