Hi, as you can tell by my number of posts i'm quite new to the VA .
I was just wandering what you recommend to produce flightplans as the default fs flightplanner is a bit limited to say the least...
Thanks in advance for the help.

Without a shadow of a doubt.... FSNav http://www.fsnavigator.com
Now in saying that it hasn't been unsupported for a while, but was still available to buy. Its one of the reasons that many folk didn't switch over to FSX as it was never upgraded to work with the later sim.
[EDIT] Seems like its no longer available?? the website can't be found.

Re: Flight Planning?
Guess what software I just found in my ancient download folder .
I bought fsnav several years ago (can't remember why) but never used it. To be honest until you mentioned it I forgot I had it!
Im busy installing it now.
Any particular tips to using it whilst I set it up?
EDIT:
Just had a look around and came across this.

Re: Flight Planning?
Hi Jonathan
You will find a section (I think it's in aircraft and routes) giving a 'rough guide' to FSNav settings for a lot of the aircraft we fly. This should give you the opportunity to do an 'offline' flight to check your fuelburn without having to resort to filling it to the brim and seeing how much you burn.. which will give a false reading

Re: Flight Planning?
You're welcome JP
As Ben said earlier.. the lack of updates for FSN is one of the major reasons many of us (me included) haven't moved over to FSX fulltime
