Great vid ! Very interesting aircraft, the Mohawk...I read somewhere it had some rather lethal aerodynamic characteristics; do you know anything more, Joe ?

well

they're generally perceived as an odd aircraft
made in the late 50's as an observation and reconnaissance platform
it's a two seater, odd , burns a lot of fuel can be fitted with a variety of bombs and munitions
has three vertical tails , again ... odd
and it's owner has 5 more just like it ... all for sale
and there is more here.

... and then the Trott will have to fill us in with the rest of the odds and ends.

I tell ya , I just love the thing,......... it do have a very unique look to it ,

With all it's military bits hanging down, it has a menacing, ouroseful almost evil look.
Cleaned up in a more civvy scheme it looks like something from Star Wars

Not aware of any "lethal aerodynamics", but then again, it's not an aircraft I've ever found a ton of information on. I know it's "near brother" the OV-10 has some due to its "spoilerons", but the OV-1D I've always been told is a pretty honest aircraft.
I can tell you one thing - Doug Jeanes, President of the Cavanaugh Flight Museum, flew them operationally while he was in the service and got an OV-1D for the museum. It's his definite pet bird of the fleet and you can tell he's so happy to be reunited with the plane.
