Sea Vampire at Leuchars

Hi all
i was loitering round Leuchars today, and blow me i saw this little gem getting unloaded into the Ark Royal hangar,#i know it is XA109 De Havilland DH-115 Sea Vampire T.22, and it is from East Fortune......
i have no idea why it is here!1 does anyone have any clues?

Was she complete when she was at East Fortune?

Could be mate, but she was in decent condition and I think that money like that would be better spent on other areas at EF.

it is NOT in for painting, simply for storage. it is detined for East Fortune museum, and is simply being kept at leuchars until they can accept it

But it was already there. Are they just using Leuchars as temp storage?

here are two of it's companions in there, the Gr that had engine fire last week, and a couple of F3's waiting to go to the maker in the sky
