Would somebody be able to tell me the exact route of the London to Sydney air race?

Now that the Puss moth has been released I would like to recreate the journey.

From the book "The Great Air Race" by Arthur Swinson (1968), the route taken by C J Melrose in the Puss Moth was:

Mildenhall - Rome - Athens - Baghdad - Jask - Karachi - Calcutta - Rangoon - Singapore - Koepang - Darwin - Charleville - Melbourne

Hope this helps :)

Sim-Outhouse (SOH) are hosting a recreation of the MacRobertson Race. Details can be found in various threads here (look in the 'stickies' area at the top of the page).....

Milton's Puss Moth was created specifically to take part in this race.

Is there some info on the airports where they stopped during the journey?
