On BBC America tonight in the Colonies. Just finished watching what I thought is an excellent program hosted by James May (Top Gear). It repeats at 11pm and 1 Am on the east coast, check you local listings for other time zones. *-) Prices slightly higher west of Maine. :hide:

I think I recall this aired in the UK a few months back and received good reviews.

It examines the training of the astronauts for the Apollo missions. James May goes through some of it, including a trip on 'The Vomit Comet' to experience weightlessness, a whirl in a centrifigul force machine, and finally a trip to 13 miles high in the U2, with spectacular views of the Earth. May also interviews some former astronauts that made the trip to the moon. I think May produced the show and he did a great job. He made the whole programme fascinating, and even though I had watched similar documentaries before, I was riveted to the telly. Despite the tease, May obviously does not land on the moon.

BTW the U2 has to have two scout cars on the runway to aid in landing because it's l handling during landing is apparently very poor. The wings on that baby are huge.
