Re: Naval Escapades!
What causes the nose over problem? I've had it a lot with the Hellcat. Perfect landing then it's as if you've stuffed the brakes on.
Will the tailhook fix fix any aircraft?

Re: Naval Escapades!
The Hellcat is one of the best straight out of the box with very little nose diving, it is not a simple case of sticking any old tailhook settings on all mine fit individual aircraft to ensure it work with a particular plane
This is what I have on my Hellcat I assume you have the RF F6F_Hellcat,
[TailHook]
tailhook_length = 4
tailhook_position = -22, 0, -0.22
cable_force_adjust =08

Re: Naval Escapades!
Did this ever happen?
Interestingly on leaving the end of the carrier and selecting gear up the carrier vanished and I landed in the water?
BTW is there a bridge view ?

No mate.. I don't think it ever did. While the Hunter was many things, it wasn't capable of carrier ops to the best of my limited knowledge. The RN used them for training under a variety of roles
Dunno if the Ark is driveable. If it is, there should be a bridge view

By bridge I meant a sort of tower spot view so you can watch the planes.
Just found out that if you land and save a flight, then replay your aircraft is suspended in mid air with the engines off!
Is there anyway to save the carrier positions?

You can't, as far as I know and I have been looking into it, attach a camera to shipping using the standard modelling tools. You'll note you can't watch any of the default shipping either for the same reason, although I do have some ideas for a simconnect plug-in that would let you I'm not even sure that's possible.
To replay flights with the carrier you need to use FSRecorder. You then need to start from a saved flight on the carrier. When you go to play the FSRecorder track first reset the flight, this resets the time which means the AI ship traffic will be back at the same place in it's schedule that it was when you recorded the flight, currently nothing actually records the positions of the ships so it's a bit of a trick but it works well enough.

Hi Skip
Been fiddling with FSCommander this afternoon hoping that Ark might show up on the screen. Unfortunately, it doesn't so the only way I can track where it is is when I'm in an aircraft onboard. FSC also has a nasty habit of flinging the aircraft off the ship into the air at high speed which isn't a help A nuisance that these things track AI but not AI shipping. Can you fit her with a transponder mate
