You go as daft as you want mate. :Dance:

I only ever use FSX for the few RN vessels made available and to fly helicopters. To my mind, the whole FSX helicopter engine is far superior to FS9 and seeing the RN in motion is worthy of my brief time in the dark side :D Thank goodness you know how to make these things move otherwise I'd not go there at all :lol:

Dave,

Have you tried the FS Water Configurator from http://www.fswaterconfigurator.com/? I found it makes the water look much more appropriate, fortunately it comes with some pre-sets otherwise I'd have spent hours getting completely the wrong effect....
Incidentally my Uncle probably flew in that Wessex as an Observer before he went fixed wing!

Hi Skippy

FSwaterconfiguraor destroys all the DX10 water and the only way to correct is to clean install FSX and all it's sdk modules and service packs.

Just a warning as it screws up the DX shader tha DX10 uses

Rick

Dave,

Slightly long winded cheat to get AI ships to show in multi-player is to use FSHost as it effectively injects other users into your single player session as AI traffic (I think I mean that's how it looks to me). If you then leave AI traffic on (contrary to the FSHost instructions) you'll have the ships and AI aircraft showing up on both machines. The important thing is to make sure both games have their time synchronised as closely as possible as the AI traffic is running to a timetable rather than being coordinated between the two machines. I've done this myself so it does work, I just can't check the exact procedure at the moment as I've only got one computer with me, very Amish I know...

@Rick,

Ahh, didn't know about the DX10 problem as I stopped using it when I realised half my lights didn't show up with it on!

Cheers Skip :D

I'm not DX10 (at least I don't think I am) so that shouldn't be an issue. Reading the info on the FSWC site, it seems there was an issue with v3.0 as it wouldn't 'clean' uninstall.. this is fixed in the latest version (v3.15) :) Looks ok at a first glimpse but I seem to have lost Ark IV. It should have been tied alongside in Liverpool.. wonder if it's been nicked *-)
