Ben and Dave's shots raise an interesting problem... a "nice problem" I like to think. On the horizon we have two beautiful classic RN ships coming to FSX, HMS Fearless/Intrepid and HMS Glamorgan/County class. I'm sure I'm not the first to think of this, but for me having the two of them sailing together (plus Ark) will be something close to heaven... but that might raise issues. I'm talking about subtle differences in greys, burnt in shading, bump mapping etc. Maybe I'm being petty, but I have a hunch my eyes will be drawn to (distracted by) such subtle differences. *-) Would Mr RickP and Mr DaveG (plus the Flying Stations crew) be happy to collaborate to make such things common across their HMS (e.g. the same RGB grey), so we have a consistent classic RN fleet? ;)

I guess I'm just thinking aloud here... I hope y'all don't mind. :$

Happy weekend! :)

Since that screenshot was taken, Fearless/Intrepid have gone up a few notches in lightness to match Glamorgan which we feel is already on the numbers. It's difficult to nail Ark Royal IV which seems either a little too light or a little too dark depending on which side the light is hitting ;) Hopefully, they won't look too dissimilar when in company ;)
