Or perhaps that should be stagger.

Probably the busiest time of year for this type of offence. I'm glad this guy was promptly caught. It probably saved someones life. :wall:

2O months off the road???? ridiculous

Where I live just being over the limit gets you three years off the road and that level would have meant jail time

Should have been longer, much longer!!

I have caught many over the limit but the highest was x4!! The Government are presently reviewwing the drink drive limit but always appear to drag their feet, what we need to do is operate random breath-tests, cone off the roads and pull 'em in. The costs to an individual through drink driving are far higher than that of public transport or even a taxi,, not to mention a life.

If caught their cars should immediately be impounded, the offender when found guilty by the courts should then have their cars crushed. Harsh? Just ask some-one who has lost a relative, wife, father or parent to one of these imbeciles.

Nigel.

Shouldn't be a problem having their car crushed

By drink driving they are risking smashing their car to bits anyway.....at least no one gets hurt.

I would like to see any damages caused by drunks come out of their pockets.......yes Insurance companies pay up to the victims, then make the drunk liable to pay it back.
