It's snowing here, so it must be at Brooklands!

But Brooklands has a Jetstream so it will be fine

Decided Brooklands was going to be a no-no today and anyway, I have a list of chores longer than my arm which have been put off for too long so today is chores day

As it happens, I've just got back from Reading on the bike and both of us were covered in snow. My poor bike. I don't think it's previous owner ever had it out in anything but bright sunshine (that would explain why he only did about 1200miles on it last year!) and in the few short weeks I've had it, it's been in rain, sleet and snow
Ah well.. I've got some mega-giga bitumen paste to try and fix a leak on the flat roof.. 25mtrs of Sat coax so I can once more have tv in the toyroom and finally.. a goodly selection of rawplugs and screws so I can fix the curtain rail in room 1 which successive tw@ts have pulled out of the wall until the hole is too bloody big to rawplug again
But first.. 20mins to warm up with a cup of coffee and a puff on the old dummy (my meerschaum pipe for the uninitiated) then DIY mode

Heh, one of the lads in work always smiles and shakes his head when I come into work on the bike in the pissing rain. Meanwhile his gixxer is back at home in the garage covered up on paddock stands above some thick carpet with a heater set to keep it above freezing

Ah so it
is snowing
somewhere today! Up here in the Midlands the promised 'sleet' is just cold rain. Still, I'm close enough to be suffering from the
El CoveƱtry effect so its just a perpetual grey sky

Still snowing here Dave, but the clouds are beginning to lighten up. Hopefully it will stop soon. Should be a nice covering on your baby.
When I had my pub, the flat roof on the kitchen extension had a tendency to leak. Watered the soup down a treat!!

your bike is smoking the pipe as well , eh?.... that can be bad for it's health you know
as for the odd smell .... I seam to remember a saying about something and the way it smells , something about being
old
and , well, boats come to mind.

I don't want to tempt fate and mention the kitchen but.. my flat roof leak is appearing in the ladies loo directly below. First time I noticed was when a 2D lamp had gone. No problem I thought.. SWMBO bought 2 a couple of days ago

Then.. I looked closer and noticed the light fitting was full of water

This is my last job on the list and it'll have to wait until tomorrow now.
Good news.. my aerial run works and I now have Freesat TV

Not only TV but ITV4 (The Saint is on at the mo)

Must see if I have the Dave channel
Joe..
Let's hope that 'Old sailors bikes never die.. they just smell that way' just like their owners
