Weather Warning.

I know from Auntie Bebe that you lot had some snow today - mainly the southeast from the sound of it. Based on Dave's theory (posted in another message) that what we get, you get sooner rather than later I thought I would let you know we are expecting 12-14 inches of snow starting late tonight. That is an unusually high amount for Washington in December and will set a record if the weather forecasters are correct. As with every snow event in our area, everyone is panicking and bread and toilet paper, those two essential commodities in life, are flying off the grocery store shelves like greased lightening. Stay tuned, film at eleven.

By all means keep it in DC!!!
We still have a good foot lying round from the blizzard last week. Yet another winter that proves I wasn't off my rocker when I bought winter tires a couple of year back.

The storm is tracking very close to the east coast. It will eventually wend its way to New England and the Canadian maritime provinces. I suppose the jet stream has something to do with whether of not it tracks across the Atlantic, and if it has enough energy left to do so.
We already have 14 inches and now we are going for 20-24 inches or more, depending on location. Leif - good luck getting anything in or out of KROA! Nearly all flights into or from KIAD, KDCA and KBWI have been cancelled. I am not looking forward to shovelling this lot out of the driveway!

Give me the snow anyday, you can snow blow it away. We have been in the deep freeze up here in the north. for two nights it's been at -29c, this weekend the temps are slowly warming up. Now who say's there's global warming, they should move to Canada. Alberta reached their coldest record this week at -50c. only a remote weather station in siberia got colder by 1 deg.
