Trident autoland FS movie

One of my favourite flights in FS9 is following Peter's CAT IIIb autoland tutorial for the Trident. I've been doing some circuits today and made a short movie which gives an idea of what it's like to land in the FS minimum of 100 metres visibility. (The Trident was actually cleared for 75).
Trident CATIIIb autoland movie 4 mins.
You can download the tutorial with pre-set flights from DM's website if you haven't already got them.
This is what 100 metres in FS looks like from outside.
The only time I was on the jump seat for a landing in this sort of visibility was on a 777 at Dubai and every moment of it is etched on what's left of my memory!

Thanks, Peter. I think I can say in
total confidence that I couldn't have done it without you

Superb Ian, just watching from the jump seat on that approach and keeping a beady eye on the altimeter I began to worry when I could not see the lights and began to brace myself for impact!!

Of course, there was no need to worry was there? Not with the Trident autoland system and the fact that you had been taught by Peter in how to use it!
Really enjoyed that.
Regards
Nigel.

Cheers, Nigel. The reason I like doing that tutorial is because you can focus totally on the instruments with no external distractions. It gives me quite an unwarranted feeling of satisfaction when the runway appears just as the throttles close
But all I have to do is press some buttons and twiddle some knobs when Peter says so
I know most of us have already done this but with a few new enthusiasts on the forum I thought it might be a nice idea to give the experience a heads up.

Well Done Ian, it sure leaves my first attempt wanting , ... TobyV talked me through it on a multi-fly session .... wow .. a few
years ago by now, landing .. Heathrow i think, he was on the right .. thats was fun and scary at the same time.. only more scary...
I think that was one of
thee most amazing sessions I had with FS since I played on a C64
or was it the time I bounced the tires off that roof landing at Bradshaw
