HU for REX users...

Just to say that I'm at present attached by my Traffic View Board to one of my traffic aircraft charging through the Canadian night skies...It has emerged that Traffic View Board is not quite compatible with REX. If you fly this sort of traffic following sortie with REX live, then each time REX reloads the weather then it detaches you from your traffic and your TVB stalls and falls gently towards the ground. It is easily re-attached by just clicking to re-establish the asterisk against your target traffic on the board. However, if you intend a long flight and wish to break for tea etc. and this weather update occurs while you are away then you may be too far away to re-establish this link when you return.

The easy get around is to use REX to install your favourite textures and then shut down REX and set your flight for 15 minute real weather downloads within FS9...You favourite REX textures will still be used but you will not have the REX moving map display. FSNav users can use the FSNav moving map as your user aircraft is now travelling with your traffic. Also if you use FSHotFX then your AIBlast sounds will be travelling with you as well and your traffic will have its realistic sounds :xsmile:

Thanks for that tip, Peter. I'm already into the lazy way of using REX (install theme and use FS9 weather) but it's useful to know what the limitations are in case I did decide to get adventurous!

Ian :)
