EMAS saves CRJ

It is fortunate that Yeager airport had installed an Engineered Material Arresting System (EMAS) in 2008 because it saved a CRJ 200 from an unfortunate situation.

We operate into HTS instead of CharlieWest for the exact reasons you see there - short runway with difficult approach

Yes, Huntington is a little less mountainous. I will have to try KCRW in FS to see how it goes.

Yes, it looks like it was cobbled together by picking words at random from a four column list! I will say I don't think the Colonials have a monopoly on vague acronyms though. ;)
