I saw that on tht telly a year or so back where it was live enough to turn the systems on.
They lowered the nose etc.
Nice to see they want to take it further
I just hope it happens
Concorde makes a poor static exhibit....all the magic of it was in it's action and unique behaviour on the runway and in the air..not to mention the noise
At least getting it live and moving will give a part of that back

Now that would be something to look forward to, unfortunately this side of the Channel there would not be a hope in hell of one of our Concordes doing that methinks, as I am sure BA would not allow it to happen.

Kind regards

You're probably right, so for now we'll have to make due with the excellent 'Concorde Experience' at Brooklands
Kind regards

It would good if they got the Concord in taxying condition. I wonder how often it would be taxied?

The main difference is I believe AF all but relinquished ownership of the aircraft when they were handed over to museums. BA on the other hand placed quite a few caviats on Concorde display in museums, such as no original systems to be powered up (all lighting are new separate systems) and no lowering of the nose (except for periodic cleaning). I believe much of this is down to insurance I think but also, if anything were to go wrong, it'd be in the news and it is after all still a plane with "British Airways" written on the side so the publicity would be negative.
