1950's Farnborough

In the shots on the following link, the Viscount looks like the prototype as it looks very short (shorter than the 700) - can someone confirm?

That would date the photo 1948...or 49? The Brab/Comet shots couldn't have been taken before 1949, not sure about the others......

The Viscount is G-AHRF

It was in Vickers colours in 1948

Indeed.. and this probably continued into '49.. perhaps '50 when it received it's full CoA. It wore RAF roundels in '49 while operating under the auspice of the MoS with the reg VX211. It had no markings at all during it's maiden flight (well.. not Vickers anyway) :cpu:
