Rather likened to
'Can you tell the difference between Coke and Pepsie'?
Surely one can tell the difference from a taxi-way to that of a runway???? For clues, the width....No? OK, how about the R/W markings.......No? Hmmm, lighting??.....No? R/W number written in white just after the pedestrian crossing markings......No? The answer must lie in Specsavers!!!!

Mitigating circumstances were snow and darkness but even then they were still plain stupid. Makes for an interesting conversation (strictly one way) with your superior....

oops! I guess we should see what the outcome is. The thing about air travel is that there are various different people involved in ensuring a safe flight, from ATC to pilots and maintenace / opperation of the various signs and navigation aids. Lets hope something positive can be learned
