Hi all

i was wondering if any of you guys scan slides....

i have borrowed my parents scanner
"Bearpaw 2448TA Plus" its a flatbed with the ability to do slides
now, i have installed it ok, when i use PSP7 or photoshop, to aquire an image it crashes these programmes ...
the only programmes i can get to work it is Irfanview.... it works but i get slight blurr and it wont even attempt to scan darker slides..
what programmes do you guys use or methods for scanning.....
im thinking its the quality of the scanner thats at fault, but i thought id ask!!
cheers

Neil

Hi Neil

make sure you have the latest drivers from the scanner manufacturer's website mate
latest drivers are here mate http://www.mustek.com.tw/html/prod_scan ... TAPro.html

PSP etc work a bit strangely with the aquire button with some scanners

you might find it best to scan using the scanner's software then bringing into PSP7 (you will find the user interface on the mustek free downloads page mate)

Regards
Rick

Hi I am not too sure if you are still doing this, but I have always found scanning directly into Photoshop is really unstable on countless versions over the years on both Macs and PC's (yes I said Mac..... dirty overpriced machines that dont run FS!!)

If you can try and use the native scanner package to do it, then drag them into Pshop to edit.

thats the problem, there is no native programme with it....
and the support from the web site is pants!!!
