OT Yeah I know it's the Mail but....

Was reading this this morning, is it really as bad as that in the UK now is my question.
I read somewhere else that people are having to pay 50 bucks a month just to have an account.
I know I hate the call centers in India where no-one can help you and all they can do is read from a screen
but this was a new one on me lol.

OMG!!!! from what I've understood or think I've understood but not sure whether I've fully understood is that from what they have said is not neccessarily what they mean?
Bosses hope the new line will filter out their customers who do not have the money to buy the bank's products so their British staff will potentially be able to sell to every caller.
I don't buy any bank products so bearing that in mind would I then be at risk of being dealt with by some-one in India? If that were the case then I would go to another bank.

Nigel.....................well that about sums it up for me lol, just today I have had two calls from "India" what frustrates me is that
they cannot even pronounce my name correctly.......my first name is Ian...............when they say "Am I speaking to IRON or IRAN
is when I put the phone down lol.

Guess what folks, the link is no longer available!! Looks like another Mail scare story that has bitten them back, looks like they've had to pull the article; second time within a week, they ran an "expose" on Facebook last week which they had to pull very rapidly and issue apologies all over the place - Facebook may yet take further legal action, about time somebody with a bit of financial clout stood up to this bullying rag!
