An unfortunate freak accident. Condolences to his family.
It does illustrate the dangers of ipods. While this was a chance in a million accident, that is not the case with joggers wearing iPods, oblivious to any sounds around them, running on city streets. I am not blaming the victim at all as he was on a fairly deserted beach, but people listening to iPods where you expect to find vehicles should be aware they are in a very dangerous situation. Another danger - muggers can approach the iPod wearer from behind without detection. Yes, I do have an ipod, and yes, I have worn it while walking around my neighbourhood.

not to be incensitive - it was a tragic sad thing that happened to him,...
although..
knowing that we all gonna go sometime I suppose if I had my home made up for the day and a clean pair of britches on .
I'd be ok with an exit of that order , just ..you know , Doink ... Not that I want to go anytime soon of course.
