I didn't think we used the Alouette... either way, this is the first one I've ever seen in British colours.

Hello Mate
Yes, indeed they did. In fact, I've done that paint for my FSHeli Alouette though strictly speaking, the model isn't exactly the same

Nip to Wiki and type in Army Air Corps and/or Alouette and it'll give you details of where they were based
EDIT..
I painted more up than 379 but they're on another pc. The older ones are more representative of the model
and finally.. WE WANT INFORMATION.. well you won't get it!
Coincidentally.. my favourite helicopter and my favourite FS helicopter

Now you mention it, NO

I try not to make them fictional if I can help it (even for my own use) but I agree.. RS would be nice.. FJ too! Paintpot time again
All the ones I painted thus far are real/TV real. G-BDWN in it's native Air Film Services white and red as it appeared in The Professionals.. F-BNKZ as above (The Prisoner) plus as it appeared in The Champions/The Saint without floats, a couple of Army plus BDWN as it appeared in one sequence from the Prisoner wearing French army green and French reg. It was a good sequence that. No.6 gets into the green Alouette thinking he is about to escape and you see it take off. It doesn't get very high before he learns his deception has been rumbled and the helicopter lands again. Unfortunately, continuity weren't paying attention as the helicopter shown with him landing is BNKZ with floats. He takes off in one and lands in another

Reason for the faux pax was that BNKZ went tech at the start of shooting and was substituted with the other helicopter at the begining of the take. BNKZ obviously got fixed and was there for the end of the take!

Anorak off!
BEN.. jumped in there. I've found the FSX version to be a bit of a dog mate.. basically the FS9 model ported and it doesn't go too well. Heavy on frames e t c. I've tried dragging the FS9 model over myself and while it works, you get bits missing.. eg, the rear frame disappeares/is hidden by the rotating rear blades.. similar to what you see with the FS9 Wessex in FSX

Hi Ben
Looking at FSHeli..
http://www.helicosim.com/index2.php .. both the Alouette II and Lama may now have had full makeovers if I'm reading the blurb right. On the Alouette II for FSX, it mentions all new visual models with DXT5-dds paints (not portovers) so you might be in mate
