I thought I would put up a few shots of Earl of Mount Edgecumbe for the steam fans here. I saw it arrive at Salisbury and then later head through Andover on its return journey, making some lovely noises.

Lovely shots, Richard!
I especially like the one of her under the bridge, with loads of steam.

Cheers

Thanks for the comments, I like that shot too Kevin and it now graces my desktop. She was working hard accelerating from being checked for some reason.

Excellent photos, Richard. I visited the National Railway Museum at York a couple of weeks ago, and it really revived my interest in these great machines, so very nice to see your pictures.

Fabulous shots, Richard! Very nice indeed. I see you got the prime spotters spot on the Up end of platform 6. You must have had to fight a few people off to get there

But it was worth it for that shot of the train curving in from Fisherton tunnel! Well done, mate!

Ian :)

Thanks Ian, I must have spent a fair few hours on the end of that platform and of the opinion that it is one of the coldest places on earth  There was a fair crowd on the end of the platform so we didn't manage to get right to the end but the shots came out ok. I remember when 6233 was there we arrived by train and saw hundreds of gricers lined up there, I still managed to get a fair shot that day as well miraculously. Roll on Clan Line in a few weeks
