The Squadron started its 50th Anniversary flight to Kenya today and we got as far as Nicosia after lunch and refuel at Luqa...I only took three pictures but I took loads of short video clips which I will edit to make a YouTube after we get to Nairobi.
Here are the three pictures I took today:-

Mark,
I have added a Logbook scan to the pictures in that post, if you want to look again
I'm off now to Tehran for lunch...I don't remember what we actually ate there but perhaps it was best forgotten

Must have been very exciting. I'd be a bit daunted to make a trip like that today... even with all these modern navaids and GPS.

We just had a map on the lap...even our Hunter FGA9s had no navaids (I did fly a Hunter FR10 once and it had an ADF...but I hadn't a clue how to use it!).
And here is a very brief clip of the formation flying which shows the relative movement of individual aircraft as they work at it...They are very smooth, these guys :-shiny

It downloads in less than half a minute and plays for 1 min 8 secs...You can play it in Windows Media Player straight from the Unzip window.
