FSPS Multicore Environment

Here's something that might be of interest; a program that allows you to assign different cores of a processor to different software. They cite FS9 and Active Sky as examples of software that would be running simultaneously.

Anyone got it, or know of it ?

Nice idea, but I'm fairly sure you can do it manually from the task manager, right click on a running program and then select set affinity to select which core it runs on. Obviously you can't save profiles that way to alter which cores do what for different scenarios, but certainly worth doing to check if you get a noticeable difference before shelling out for a program to automate it.

Hmm.. the last review is in my ballpark.. FSX on a dual core CPU so I don't think I'll bother :)

Thing is Dave with a dual core you could assign ASV to one and FSX/FS9 to the other worth trying, but maybe manually trying it first as per Skippybing said, will look into that and see what it does.
I am finding my CPU hitting low 50's at the moment despite having installed more fans than a giesha girl can wave and more holes drilled into my case so it ressembles a pepper pot!! So this may take some heat off the workload??
Mind you the room the pc is in is warmer than a cuddle off a steam railway stoker :-O

Yeh.. I guess that's true (both the core management and the cuddle off a steam railway stoker) but I'm one of those bods who likes to play things 'safe'. I don't like messing with things I don't understand so if I break it, how the hell am I going to get it back again :-O No.. safe and sure for me matey ;)
