Closing doors on Vanguard?

Hello,

I don“t know if I overlooked something in the manual - but how do I close the doors and remove the stairways on the Vanguard before I fire up the engines?

Best Regards,
Anders

Hi Anders :hello:

Unfortunately, the Vanguard model (much like the real thing) comes from an age when door operation was linked to other events so there is no manual control. I can't remember exactly which event this is now but I've a hunch it's linked to either engine 1 or 2. I seem to remember taxiing in on only 2 engines once (just for the hell of it) and when I looked outside to admire my handywork.. there were the airstairs!

From what I remember :worried:

Starting #1 closes one door and starting #2 closes the other

The model was made for FS.8 and this is one of the carry overs from those prehistoric times :)

An engine failure in flight can be somwhat embarrasing

I thought that was a vickers design ? "ladies and gentleman we have lost two engines , the parachutes are under your seats and the doors are open with the steps down to aid your escape" lol

Ok back to my cave !!!
