Not a new one on me. Sadly.. I think it's better than ours (not this one.. the 'other' ours)

Err.. yes, well.. that was by accident (my contribution that is). Fortunately, none of the old gits have realised this yet

The chap who runs it is a genuinely nice bloke who also runs a rather nice Viscount site you may be au fait with. The Vanguard site started out as a fill-gap but grew.. and grew!

I stumbled over it one day and noticed a glaring error so emailed him and as is the way.. we traded life stories hence, the link to here

Which reminds me.. I must get Ben to put a link to both his Viscount and Vanguard sites

The Viscount site I watch closely
I do wish though folks would stop calling the last BEA livery Speedjack.
It was officially called Flying Jack (it was designed to represent Britain and Flying) and otherwise referred to as the Peacock Green livery..it was not blue as often believed althgough it sort of went blue after a while
SpeedJack is a recent popular myth
Anyway

Yes mate.. or even HSJ
Did you see that on the Viscount or Vanguard site?? I can't remember what the hell it was I was looking for now but I
think it was either APEP (Swiftsure) or Superb (APES) at Brooklands that poked my eye out. The rest was all email
Drop him an email because he likes to have things 'right'. I'm sure he'll be more than courteous and appreciate your input

Hi Dave
Of yes HSJ..nothing high speed about the Heron and Skyvan that wore that livery
The speedjack reference was on ever BEA entry.on the Viscount site I think they call it the Union Jack livery
I will and I'll let him know which ones wore the FJ as he seems unsure
As I mention it was a deliberate name for the livery and what it stood for just as the Flying key represented Europe and was said to to be the key to unlock Europe to travellers (After the war).
