ATM I'm on a Pedolino heading towards London for my little weekend trip to Paris. Purely to take advantage of the cheap flights on the 380. Breakie time Now I think... Mmmm, BLT!
Nice train, last time I went down to London on a train it was a rake of mk2's with an 86 on the front...

You'll need a lot of BLTs
if you're travelling by Pedolino.

Keep those knees going
you'll get there eventually.

Have a great weekend.

Doesn't one go up, to London?
A Coronation with 16 on was even better than an AL2 ;)

Well I'm back now and had a good time, the A380 is one hell of an aeroplane. It really is massive and I can't believe how quiet it was, even at full takeoff power. It was extremely smooth, even when going through clouds. I would deffo choose this plane over any other for long haul anyday.
On the trip out I was on the main deck and on the way home I was on the upper deck. My personal preference would be to travel on the upper deck. Due to the shape of the cabin, on the main deck you are quite far away from the wall & windows and this makes it hard to look out and means you cant lean and rest your head against the wall when you want some kip. The upper deck is just like an A340 but you have to remember that there is a whole other deck bellow! Some pics:

Oh and as a side note, I also saw that big massive fire in the cargo depot. wasn't there when we pushed back but clocked it when taking off. That was quite a spectacular plume of smoke.
