Flying Legends Pics

Post by Kevin Farnell »

I was at Duxford on Friday, to watch the arrivals/practice and again on Saturday, for the show. Both days were extremely hot (33 C+).
Below are a small selection of the many shots that I took.

Thanks, Graham.

I posted late last night, so appologies for no descriptions to the photos. I have many more, so may add a few later.

Cheers

Thanks for putting in the time to post them up Kevin. Nice Pics

The pic of the cubs is good, some tight flying there.
I'm wondering why one has no tail number like it's mate 480173

Great shots Kevin. Those 'in the air' pictures are something I can't really do very well, so I'm glad others take the time to post them.

Hi Guys

Thanks for the comments and sorry for the late reply.

This was taken on the Friday, prior to the show. For some reason they had a little trouble getting the Spitfire started. Several attempts resulted in flames from the exhaust - makes for an interesting photo (is that why they're called Spitfires :dunno: ).

Hmmm...not sure. I only really noticed after you mentioned it.

Nothing wrong with your photos, Paul. I certainly enjoyed them.
I see from your location, that you are fairly local to Duxford. If you get the chance to go on a Friday prior to either of the main airshows, it's very good for closeups of taxiing and arriving aircraft.
Keep clicking away
