This was taken on the Friday, prior to the show. For some reason they had a little trouble getting the Spitfire started. Several attempts resulted in flames from the exhaust - makes for an interesting photo (is that why they're called Spitfires

).

Nothing wrong with your photos, Paul. I certainly enjoyed them.
I see from your location, that you are fairly local to Duxford. If you get the chance to go on a Friday prior to either of the main airshows, it's very good for closeups of taxiing and arriving aircraft.
