...do you mean high angle of attack......or too much shine??

Just watched the Beeb Video Kevin and I agree - Ive seen the Candians do that trick at Nellis a couple of times where they make a high AOA minimum control speed flypast ending in a vertical climb on afterburner. either way - Dave was correct he hung with it for a long time before departing the aircraft.

Good grief.
Did they rewrite the laws of aerodynamics for the F22. They seem to have moved on from Newtonian physics into the stranger bits of quantum mechanics.

I guse a high angles of attack they must be sitting on the thrust to a certain extent.

I think they can also vector the thrust to some extent which must be important to produce the manoeuvrability shown in the display.
