Never knew the Airbus A-340 had an extra undercarriage bogey on the centreline..
Is that configuration unique ?

Only the later ones 500,600 due to weight
The earlier ones had a double wheel centre main undercarriage.
On the subject of Airbus......
Many folks don't know about the bogie option on the A.320, which AFAIK was only taken up by Indian Airlines

The bogie option on the Indian Airlines planes was to allow them to land the aircraft on the sub-standard runways they operated into that were long enough, but couldn't handle the weight of the A320's. As the infrastructure within India has improved, the need for this option has been removed.
