Here is a short (3.5 mins) YouTube video of this nice to fly Seaplane...It should be viewed in HiRes 1080 and full screen mode. The real weather was strange at Mcleland Seaplane Base today!

Yes Leif,
I agree...I'm going to use it for my next whale watching trip down Russell Fjord...I normally use the Eastbourne Monoplane for that but I fancy trying it with the Lohner. Besides, it will be nice to be able to touch down and stop and look instead of just buzzing over

Peter - Just make sure the whales don't jump out and land on your plane like that couple's boat in South Africa

I've been close to whales in real life...I was sailing from Horta in the Azores to Helford River in Cornwall when we were visited every day for about four or five days by a couple of Fin Whales...They seemed to like us and kept coming from behind to pass along our port side and then cut across under our bows to the other side. They were amazingly close and it was like watching a tarmac road going past! They never quite touched us but there could only have been about a foot of clearance as they went under the bows. One evening as my wife and I had hove-to for reefing, the two whales circled us right through the reefing operation...made me feel a bit nervous, like a wagon train pioneer being circled by indians!
