Badly done fake methinks

It reminds me of a tale told about an RAF instructor pre WW2 , who used to force confidence into underconfident students by unscrewing his stick and chucking it over the side of the Tiger ( he must have had nerves of steel) . One day a student decided to get his own back, and secreted a spare stick in his cockpit , and waited for the instructor to do his usual trick. When he did, the student then unscrewed his and also threw it over the side! The instructor's face went quite ashen!
