He managed to get home?!

I'd would have thought he would have been challenged whilst strolling along the Tarmac armed with a bottle of Bud.

At least he didn't try to get out at 37000ft. :agree:

Most Colonial beer is 'awfull crap'! Although I will say many of the microbrews are a big improvement over Bud, Miller and all the other p*ss water they call beer on this side of the pond.

Back on topic - Jet Blue has not fired Slater ........yet. I bet an army of lawyers is making sure they get it right, follow the procedures and all that. It certainly is a field day for the late night comics.

May I just go on the record and express my dismay at how many of my fellow citizens view this buffoon as a hero? :$ In my mind, there shouldn't be any question of his continuing employment; if ever there's been just cause for termination, this is it.

That being said, I did see a comparison between the lad and Johnnie from the 'Airplane' movies that may me giggle a little.

I'm sure Slater's slated :worried: to be fired. He should be held responsible to pay for the shute and all related maintainance
required to get the aircraft in flying order. Plus an oil change and a wash. :agree:

or wait, rehire him as a pooper cleaner... give him some serious sh!t to complain about.
Then garnish his wages.

His continued employment should not be in question

There is no way they you could have someone like that in charge of safety issues in an emergency, why anyone should be supportive of him defies understanding :wall:

It's crazy, isn't it? All of these "take this job and shove it" loons have obviously never been unemployed for any length of time. Hopefully some good will come of all this. Maybe this episode will make people a little more respectful of flight attendants...but it probably won't.
