I'm trying to find out how many flap steps the 146 has and what angles they are.
Any info appreciated.
Bob.

Bob I am at work Friday so I will pop next door to the Flybe hangar and ask one of the engineers as they used to have them in the fleet, any other info you require whilst I am there??
Cheers Tony

Thanks Ben and to Tony for the offer.
I have now established that there are 5 flap positions 0, 18, 24, 30 and 33 degrees.
regards,
Bob.

Hi Bob..
Ben is regarded as our 146 boffin here (he probably has more info on the type than BAe!) but having just watched my ITVV debonair 146-200 dvd again.. I can confirm that up, 18, 24, 30 and 33 are correct
Now.. all we want is a 146 that has a flight envelope close to what is published and we'll be happy. Sadly.. that aint 'appened yet

Mind you, when Bob starts asking questions like that you can't help but think the remedy may be at hand Dave!

I've got Vol 1 of the 146 - 200 Manufacturer opperating manual so if there is anything you need Bob I'll have a look through that. I was responding from my phone last night so didn't have the manual to hand

OK, I'll come clean and tell you that we have started work on the BAe 146-100. The CC2 and -300 are also in the pipeline. FS9 and FSX.
As usual with our models these are not intended for the hard core "everything must be exactly right, where's the 100 page manual ?" type of simmer.
We'll make them look and work as realistically as we can, and make them fly to the published specs, but they are aimed at the "let's push a few buttons, take off and have some fun" simmers.
Having said that, even a 'simple' model of the 146 is a proving to be a complicated task so the leaves will be dropping off the trees before this bird flies.
Bob.

Many thanks Tony

Add me to that Bob

A minor fiddle here and there I can tolerate but 2-weeks 'Ground School' is out of the question
