Boeing 787 simulator preview

Not anything we could buy for the PC, but the real simulator being developed for 787 training. Watch the video - some of the instramentation will look familiar. I wonder what scenery add-ons they are using?

Blimey.. look at the size of the MFD's these days

I guess they had to make the 7L8 that big just to fit them in!

Wow. I had the feeling all through watching that vid that there's nothing there I haven't seen before. Like I could sit down in that sim and actually stand a fighting chance of knowing what every single system does. Scary.

You can probably order via Boeing and I guess it woudl cost

.... several millions of dollars..$30,000,000???
I can order it for you for a 15 percent handling charge
However you might be able to get it from Argos

, or if you wait a few years one might come up on Ebay

ah,that'd be Rockwell-Collins latest offerings...called 'adaptive flight displays' or AFD's
we're getting all that in the Global Express 'Vision' currently being test flown, and in the new Learjet 85
