Presumably they would have some sort of emergency backup, that maybe even uses some sort of hypergolic fuel to power the jets until you can land/pick a spot to crash.

Maybe an APU

I dous seem risky putting all the eggs in one basket :worried: but redundancy will be built in and it's no more risky than fly by wire which also has a potential to lose everything at once.

Seem though this would be more for unmanned craft initially.
