I flew back from Anchorage to McLeland Field today and was primarily interested in testing the management of the two Aux fuel tanks that I have fitted. I also took some pics of the descent and approach into PAMA...They are mostly panel shots and will probably only be of interest to those who fly Glass and FMCs:-

Thanks for looking :fly:

Yes Chris,

It is a duplex system on this aeroplane...Normally you can only select one of the two CMD buttons on. However, if you are programmed to do an ILS approach then the system automatically selects the correct ILS frequency on both NAVs and then when established and below 2400 feet it will allow you to select the other CMD button and instead of just swapping from one autopilot to the other, it will leave the other one on and select the second one as well. With both autopilots on now the FLARE will arm at about 1200 feet. The flare itself is very smooth and accurate and the aeroplane will touch down very smoothly.
