Add-on Clouds for FS 2004

Please may I have recommendations for better Clouds for FS2004 . I notice that some are in favour of REX, and others in favour of FEX ( not sure which that is) . At present I use Active Sky as the real weather engine, and what I find disappointing is that there is very little medium / higher cloud generated , in particular, cumulus development is very limited and therefore unrealistic . Also , low level winter stratus is disappointing, with the continuous deck of cloud never seeming to be reproduced

Hi Chris
I wish I could add to what you've already suggested but I can't unfortunately. When I use downloaded weather, it's like you via ActiveSky and when I don't.. I set the clouds up to how I want them to look. Have you looked on Flightsim.com/Avsim to see if there are alternative freeware cloudsets?? I'm sure there are

Do a search at Avsim for Pablo Diaz. His clouds are quite good. You will want the version 2.

Pablo's HDE clouds are nothing less than awesome in my eyes!
Many addons promise that "your flightsim experience won't be the same", but in this case it's true.
Filename at AVSIM is
hdev2.zip
http://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=146315
It's a 24 MB download but worth every single bit...
Cheers,
Markus.
