Short Solent - updated model

Post by jensbk »

Hello all,

I have just uploaded version 3.0 of my Short Solent model to Simviation and Flightsim (Avsim will follow), and to classicbritishfiles.com.

The panel and virtual cockpit are much better. There are a few adjustments to the exterior model as well .

The DC-3 sounds are used, but you should install better Bristol Hercules sounds for it.

Best regards

Jens

That's great, Jens, thanks!

This was the first of your seaplanes that I ever flew and I've not missed any since. They are great and this will make my favourite one even greater

I once joined in a cross-Atlantic trip for vintage 4 engined aircraft on VATSIM-UK for the "I-UK" part of the trip flying your Solent 4. Was great fun.

I think Jens might find this site of interest, if he has not seen it already. Loads of plans, pics, Pilot notes and more.

Jens Your right,
It is a Rangoon. Ser No K3678 from 203 Squadron. I believe the photo was taken at Melbourne in 1934 when three of them visited as part of the Melbourne Centenary celebrations.

Correct Gentlemen

It has three Bristol Jupiters and a fully enclosed cockpit

I think the Frogs flew them as well -- Imperial definitly did
