Rare beast in front garden!

Hi folks,

Not too many moons ago I recall posting some material about an aircraft that crashed in Shetland in 1981. The aircraft in question was a French built Potez 840, reg F-BMCY. If I remember rightly, Garry mentioned that he used to see this particular aircraft flying regularly when it was in service.

I always took an interest in this aircraft as its rather pretty and only a handful were ever built.

Thanks to the powers of the internet I came across some rather rare pictures of the aircraft parked up after the accident and in a derelict state some time after.

Seems the accident damage was'nt as bad first thought although it was bad enough to write the aircraft off and salvage some parts.

Heres the link if anyones interested

And many years later, some chap on Shetland acquired the aircraft for his front garden!

The windows are copied from the Caravelle Joe
It is rather a twee little beast - only problem was the Azatou -- imagine it with four Garretts
