Stealthy, apart from the jet nozzles.

Very long as well, most likely 4:3 aspect ratio photo's that they looked at and copied on 16:9 widescreen monitors ;)

According to the Times "... US intelligence failed to spot the rapid development of a new generation of Chinese fighter aircraft"

The stealth bit works then.

There's nothing inherently un-stealthy about canards, without knowing details of their physical structure it's really just speculation. The exhausts on the other hand definitely aren't, although that's only a problem if you're running away!

Size isn't really a problem, the Su-27 is massive and seems to be pretty manoeuvrable, it may be a function of designing an aircraft to patrol such a vast country's airspace, you need somewhere to put enough fuel.

Any self respecting rouge state will have a bit of choice now. This, or the Russian T-50...

That J-10 looks a handy bit of kit. They'd better not pay any 'PR' visits to this area though (the Fens) - looks like a gust from one of our 'resident' Northerlies would have it over on its side! :-O
