Seeing that on the M6 toll would be rather disheartening :worried:

Eddie is on Greater Manchester mate and they weren't mentioned. He could change forces though.. for a fortnight :) Nice to see the car is on loan. I'd hate to see our poor Police forces spending 50k a throw on a toy ;)

That "Bobby "was on "motorway cops"on the tele the other night. An interesting prog. indeed to see the workings of the motorway traffic cops. I knew the cops used unmarked cars and vans, i didnt realise they also use unmarked "arctics" too. Nice to see the lorry drivers high up in their cabs , out of normal eye view being nicked for using their mobiles while driving thanks to the police who were on the same eye level while driving in their unmarked "arctic"

Typical Daily Wail about waste of money on the comments, ignoring that it wasn't purchased but donated to the force by Lotus. Just like the Esprit they had a few years back, I'm sure it will go back to Lotus in a few months time if the gift was actually a temporary loan to the force by Lotus to drum up some publicity for their recently announced tie up with Renault in Formula One. ;)

30 mpg "My AR*E" (if you drive it at a steady 5 mph maybe)

and like all of these flash wagons the Old Bill have they are on loan and dissapear within a few weeks back to the owner.

Basically another really stupid PR exercise. 8)

Ok, I'm done :)
(Mates bike was stolen at christmas, reported it to plod(not very interested)
4 days later i saw it riding round Ipswich (phoned Plod, still not interested)

flollowed bike to lockup & phoned mate.

Mate arrived and we took the bike back from the scroat (damage where twat had dropped it twice).
(didn't threaten scroat but told him what happens if he touched it again and left)

2 weeks later police phone mate and say they are now interested!

Tell police to go back to sleep as we found the bike (they want to know where & When etc.) tell them too late, you where not interested.

they then come round and caution mate for witholding info!.

What a F*****g waste of Oxygen the current UK police are 8)
not interested in anything remotely like working
all they want to do is ANPR easy peasy bread & butter.

Regards
Rick

I think there was an article posted a while back where a force was using expensive sportscars that had been seized :)

Nice one Garry. I'd love to have a tootle around in that.

Sadly there's no way in the current climate that any Police force would pay for such a luxury.

Obviously a very clever bit of promotional work by Lotus. May help them sell a few more motors and the cops get to utilise a tasty motor for a while. *-)

Rick, sorry to hear about your bad experience with the Police. You should of complained to them instead of taking the law into your own hands. After all look where it got your mate.

Anyway I'll not turn this into a silly debate. All I will say is, its like any job, some are good at their work and some are'nt as good. :)

And the ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) is an awesome piece of equipment and a very valuable tool. ;)

Cheers.
